On May 29, 1997 the music world was as lost one of its greatest voices and one of the most promising artists of the nineties.

Jeffrey Scott Buckley was born on November 17, 1966 in Anaheim, California (USA) and inherited from his father, Tim Buckley, besides the name and a portentous voice, his passion for music and as if it were a curse , an early death.

Desmond Dekker, Open The Reggae to The WorldBefore Bob Marley, the singer and his band The Aces were able to open the reggae to the world.

Reggae is a music genre that starts dancing to many around the world. Created from the rock steady in the early sixties, among the pioneers who began to turn it into a recognizable and popular rhythm were Bob Marley and his band The Wailers, Desmond Dekker and Buster Prine, the latter often forgotten in the remembrance reggae.

Dekker’s Beginnings in Music
Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Desmond Dekker (1941-2006) served as an apprentice tailor and welder before becoming a reggae icon. Motivated by close friends, got his first audition with no success. Then prove luck in Beverly, which would open doors in 1963 he released his first single, Honor his father and mother, emphasizing the importance of respect for parents. (more…)

Soul Asylum

Back in the beginning, Soul Asylum was considered the “best live band in America.”

Its beginnings in Minneapolis in 1981 gave the band called Loud Fast Rules, with Dave Pirner and drummer with Dan Murphy and Karl Mueller, but shortly after her walk strong for the scenarios they decided to change the name to Soul Asylum.

The quality demonstrated by Dave Pirner had become the voice and guitar and Soul Asylum group had succeeded in finding a signature sound of ragged guitars loaded and psychosocial content covered in the thinking of youth.

Heroes del Silencio Biography

The band Radiohead was formed in 1987 in Oxford, England, and the five members of the group were Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Ed O’Brien, Colin Greenwood and Phil Selway. Todes came from middle class families and their future was raised poor, until they met and started playing music together.

Martina McBride, winning Grammys for her style of country music, born in 1966 in Kansas City, USA. She discovered her love of country music through her father, Daryl, who had a local band called The Schifters. In his teens she was part of her father’s band as a singer and keyboards as well.

In 1988 she married the engineer McBride and thereafter decided to use the married name. They moved to Nashville in 1990 and devoted much of her time to raising her three daughters: Delaney Katharine, Emma Justine and Ava Rose Kathleen .
